Today there is a lot of analysis doe on one’s swing. Why? Well for a start a swing is on of the two important pillars that make a golfer good, the other is a good golf brain, knowing what club to use where, knowing the smart plays and one’s own game well enough to know one’s limitations.
Swing trainer are there to help novice players and even golfer that have been playing the game of golf for a number of years. The principles of a golfer’s swing are aexactly the same as those of a pitcher in baseball or a bowler in cricket, it needs to use every bit of the player’s ability and most importantly be repeatable so that every time he or she swings the club they swing the same way. If one obtains a repeatable action, one will achieve accuracy, it is as simple as that. Here are a few swing trainers out there at the moment that we recommend.
The Speed Stick-This is purely a training club, a golfer would use this stick to warm up, it is heavier than a normal club and so help build muscle tone in the muscle that are used in a person’s swing. It is usually about $99:95 (£54:99) at retail price, but it is endorsed by Vijay Singh and he doesn’t exactly need the money so he must at least think the product works.
Butch Harmon Laser Trainer-Trainer of stars, such as Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, Butch Harmon is a name that you can trust. The laser trainer is designed to show exactly what path your club takes in your swing and not that expensive, $59:99 (£35:99).
Swing Scope-This is the first of its kind, it gives bio feedback, to help a golfer utilise all the golf specific muscle to ingrain the correct muscle memory. Sounds complex but it come with a standard price tag, $99:95 (£54:99).
Momentus Golf Indoor Driver-This is basically just as the name says, an indoor driver, the shaft ifs heavier but shortened to let you swing a club anywhere anytime. It is though, a tad pricey at $99:95 (£54:99), because it is nothing special, however if you have back problems and play golf now and again, it could be the best $99:95 (£54:99) you ever spent (no granatees though, I don’t clame to be an orthopaedic specialist), it will help you keep your muscles active between trips to the golf course, so you don’t have a back spasm on the 1st tee.
