Odyssey

The history of Odyssesy is really all in their putters. In 1991 they released their first ever mallet putter, it came in only two sizes, big and little, the club head was moulded from a elastomer call stronomic. With its first two years the stronomic mallet putter helped a few golfers to tour wins, and Odyssey gained wide acknowledgement as a quality manufacturer with many pros.

In 1994 Odyssey introduce their Dual Force Stainless Steel range, which they engineer in a completely new way. They use a softer urethane and insert it into the cavity of the metal putter, to put the weight at the toe and join of the club. In the single year of 1996 an Odyssey putter helps golfer to twenty-six wins in all the six major tours in the world, and most importantly, it grabbed the masters, and earned its user a little green jacket.

In the year of 1997 it is voted the best golf putter manufacturer in the world. THis is not enough for the company as they go on to develop their new, now infamous, White Hot range, which they made by inserting into the metal of the head, the material that covers golf balls. This they found gave the golf club a more balanced feel, and made the ball roll truer.

In the year 2001, Odyssey released what would become the best selling golf club of all time, the Oddyssey Two Ball putter. This gave the golfer an easy job of lining up the putt, and of curse with being shown to people on the TV, sells rocketed up. It also helped that a woman golf, called Annika Sorendarn hit a round of 59 with her Odyssey putter.

By the end of 2001, Odyssey had made another giant leap in the manufacturing of putters. They began to us Carbon Steel which ensured that the club was perfectly balanced, and even easier to use. Their clear expertness in golf led them to hold near 50% of the golf putter market, and they continued to progress bring out the triple ball, and now buy-clubs.com proudly present the Odyssey White Hot XG Sabertooth, which we named number one putter of 2008 (for more information see putters, in the club type column). We strongly advice that when looking for a new putter to buy you look at our Odyssey products, believe me they won’t disappoint.

Wilson

When you are in the mood for a new club or a completely brand new set, it is always good to have a little look at what Wilson have to offer, which is precise and highly quality performance golf clubs. Many of the great professional golfers over the years, have used Wilson made golf clubs. Some of these names include major winner Vijay Singh and one of Ireland’s greatest, three time major winning (two of which were the 07 and 08 open championship), Padraig Harrington. This clubs must be worth a look if they choose them over every other golf club Manufacturer.

We here at Buy-Clubs.com found that within the Wilson range you would find that there was many different clubs that had specific qualities, like distance, or accuracy and reliability. This means that they have the golf clubs for players of type, ability or handicap. This fact is best seen by their range of quality drivers. Many will know and love the old Wilson Deep Red, I gave my son my old one when he was thirteen, and it help transform his game, because it gave him the distance and reliability a young golfer needs. The new range gives exactly the same things and more. The clubs we recommend that need a closer look are the PD5 or the DD6, because you need a club that does everything then these are the clubs for you. Wilson golf clubs realise that you need a club that does everything.

Wilson golf also offer top of the rang putters and wedges. The 8860 series offers great putters and wedges. Many say that Odyssey are the manufacturers to go to for a driver. But I think that Odyssey aren’t necessary the right club for everyone, because if you happy with the Wilson style of putter then it’s the  range of putters for you.  We recommend the  the FW6 wedge for you to consider because it comes with all the precision  golfers need. It feels like an extension of your own arm.

Well feel free to have a look at the Wilson golf clubs on offer, you will find that they are all below average retail price.

Ping

The History of Ping the golf club manufacturer is a bit odd, because it is a story of a man that built a worldwide company from nothing. Whether you believe it or not is yours to decide. I think it is true because all businesses have to have a beginning and why not with just a single man in his shed. Anyway the history of Ping is as follows, a popular golfer in his day, called Karasten Solheim was having trouble putting and in an effort to improve is putt conversion rates, he decided to design and build himself a custom made putter. Now the putter that he created was fantastic it had all the principles of the heel to toe of the club head weight ratio that is used today The name ping came from his club, he was so pleased with the balance and happy with the contact it made with the ball that he named the golf company after the sound it made when the golf club hit the ball, “ping”.

Nowadays Ping golf clubs are a common and extremely popular name among keen golfers and the products of this amazing company have crown many professionals as major winners and tour champions. The company has moved along way from its early days in a bloke’s shed. It is now based in Arizona and has over 40 years of quality products behind it. Today Ping’s golf clubs are the one of the best if not the best in their department, and they still satisfy many a player of the game.

Here are some of the products we recommend.

Ping G10 Woods-These club is so easy to use it could make anybody hit the ball straight and true, and quite a long way. It is not essential to hit the ball a long way but it helps. Also along with these woods come the G10 hybrid which was one of the best hybrids we tried.

Ping Redwood Blade Putter and Ping Redwood Piper Mallet Putter-These came top in their respective categories and are two true sensational putters.
